quiet life and bowling

I've been spending less (and less) time on the net the past few weeks ever since Nick got a new job. Why? For one, we're on the same work schedule now, so my after-work hours are spent hanging out with him, instead of well, my laptop. His family also drove down from Oroville (CA) last weekend, so once again, I was kept away. Work's gotten hectic too the past few weeks... yikes. But it's not too bad. I can't complain - income is still income.

But I'm glad to be able to spend more time now with Nick. We can hang out like we did when we were still in college and dating (minus his roommates and their girlfriends). When his family was here, we actually went bowling (and I SUCK at bowling). But I had such a blast. I'm also almost seriously believing in beginner's luck. Ok, here's the deal, my typical game average is about 70. I have horrible aim, because for some odd reason, my wrist twists the moment I let go of the ball... so my ball usually spins randomly at the last second before hitting (or more commonly, missing) the pins. Anyway...that night though, I scored 116, beating Nick's 113, because he blew the 10th frame and just guttered (is that the word). Whoa. I guess it helped too that Nick was having a horrible game night...hahahah. But I bet you, if we played a second round of bowling that night, my typical average would have manifested itself...heheh.

Oh well...
