Some days I question why I don't have the willpower to stop reading once I started. Yesterday was one of those days.

One of my friends got me hooked on Twilight, a YA novel by Stephenie Meyers. I bought the paperback copy from Walmart about 11 days ago, and I really was really surprised to be caught up in the story. I'm not a vampire fan, so I was hesitant at first. But I didn't realize I would get caught up at how the characters emulated portrayed captured the emotions accompanying first love, the anxiety, hesitance, unsurety, freshness, lightness, sweetness, naïveté, torture - the sheer drama of it all. :)

Wow.

So I ended up ordering New Moon (book 2) and preordering Eclipse (book 3) from Amazon soon after. I was finally able to pick up the books at the post office yesterday.

I can't believe I finished both in the same day... *pathetic i know*
Now the stories take on more complications and 'competition'. I was torn to see the seemingly polar opposite relationship that the main character Bella has with her first and 'second' loves. On one hand, you have a very 'seasoned' individual who's more realistic about the harshness and risks in life, but at the same time, still 'learning' the emotional side of things. Then the other who exhibits and lives for the freshness and passion of life, with some reckless abandon - a very appealing distraction.

Who would you go with?.. The one who makes your heart skip a beat or one who makes you laugh.

I say... Edward all the way!!! LOL. I'm so glad you finished the books. Eclipse is my favorite. Don't you just love the chat/warning Edward gives Jacob after she punches Jacob? And the proposal?! And then the chat Edward and Jacob have in the tent. Loved it!!! I'm so glad you enjoy them too! (How are you feeling these days?)
