Nick's been bugging me to figure out how to get his 360 on the internet for quite a few weeks now. It's been complicated since our router's clear across on the other side of the house and the 360 isn't set for wireless.
I ended up trying out flashing DD-WRT on our linksys gs router, but that didn't work out so hot with our connection being friendly only to one MAC address, I could never get the admin page to load. Then I heard bridges work really well, but that's a lot of money. Nick was pushing for the gaming adapter, but I wanted a solution that would work for multiple peripherals, not just the xbox.
Enter ICS. Connect a cable to the pc and the 360, then a few clicks later, xbox live is up and running.
how I wish I'd heard of this solution earlier...
