My friend Rob called me the other day. Fall semester already started at school and he was running his worksheet by me. I took the same class last semester so I was familiar with the information, plus I had the book on hand. :)
After talking to him for 20 minutes, I felt sort of schoolsick (is that even a word?). I missed school, mainly the people. I miss my co-workers at the Tech Center, the library red vest employees (funny, funny people), the "therapy sessions" with my professors, (I had a really bad case of senioritis during my last year), and Sunday brunch at my friend Gerald's...
The people that I had contact with each day, made my college years memorable.

On another note, I now have a new email account, thanks to Dona. thank you ulit!! *hugs* We only know each other through each other's blogs, so I think it's awesome she was so giving.

It's funny how gmail got so much hype. I first got whiff of Google's new endeavor a few months ago when headlines started coming out, talking about Google's free 1GB mail. Within a month, Gmail invites went up on eBay.

Within the next few months, Yahoo decided to counteract with its own strategy. Yahoo has now 100MB of storage. MSN will up their storage to 250MB sometime this summer.

Despite competition, Google's strategy to allow only a select few to test gmail proved successful. It created, in my opinion, an almost exclusive society. So the hype is still going on today and it intrigues people whether he/she is anti-gmail or not.

So anyway, I am passing on what Dona shared with me. I was able to receive my first set of invites today. If you're interested, please contact me, via the comment box, tag-board, yahoo IM, whatever.
Let's just hope it's not a programming fluke that I got some this early... :D
