We ended up driving back to Reno the other day. We got caught in a middle of a snowstorm and the windshield wipers weren't working properly so Nick didn't want to risk it. I guess it's good that we went back. We passed two accidents on the return trip. One diesel got jackknifed; half of it crossed over onto the east-bound highway, the other half still on the west-bound.
Since we didn't have any food prepared at home, we went to the Chef's Buffet in El Dorado. The food was pretty good, plus they had a good variety. The service wasn't the best though, but then the place was packed. So I understand how the servers would forget which people were new and didn't have drinks, etc.

The day after Thanksgiving or Black Friday was crazy. Practically every store opened at around 5:30-6am and prices dropped to almost nothing. Nick and I woke up late so we didn't get to the stores until 7. But we got most of our Christmas shopping done by 8. But of course, while we shopped for other people, Nick couldn't help but buy stuff for himself too... lol. He couldn't resist the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon ($27.8k MSRP):
No, not the real one...the radio-controlled one. It seems the holiday season tends to bring the inner child out in some people... :)
