The other day was rough. Our car got stuck in the snow/ice-filled street. The studded tires didn't help us; the wheel just spun on the ice. So long story short, our alignment is now off, and you can hear thudding sounds while driving on the higway.

A few of the carports at the complex collapsed. Our carport is already heaving from the weight of the snow. But do you think our management has done anything about this? No. They haven't plowed the roads, haven't removed the snow from the carports (you would think they would since other apartment complexes are gettings sued for snow removal negligence). blah.

Nick has to work the first day of our vacation. Our flights, hotel and car have been booked already, and now we have to reschedule. Ugh. More fees to pay! He's the only one who hasn't been on vacation at work too, even recent hires have already taken vacation days.

Our new apartment probably won't be ready on our move-in date, due to weather complications.

Oh well... I'm not upset anymore. Just a tad annoyed.

They're just minor speedbumps in the road of life.

Anyway... Nick and I had a little getaway Tuesday night. He booked the Tower Kings Spa Suite at the El Dorado (locals get good deals on rooms). We had a great view of the city, plus a revolving pop-up tv so you can watch a show while enjoying the spa tub. *wink* hahahaha.

We had dinner at the Benihana restaurant at the Golden Phoenix. The food was pretty good, though it costs about 25 a pop. Thank goodness for two-for-one coupons.

I just realized, the older you get, the more money you spend. The amount also seems more substantial especially if its money you worked (hard) for. I guess I'm still reeling from our Christmastime spending spree. Sales are just too hard to resist!
