another laptop scare

The lappy wouldn't power up again today (with/without batteries and AC adapter). And I thought this is it, the lappy has officially taken it's last computation and I've only backed up about half of its data. :(

But after googling a while, a post regarding "making sure that the lid is not closed" struck me. Yes, the lid was open. But the little latch that pushes down (when the lid is closed) apparently was stuck so the lappy 'thought' the cover was still in place.

Ay. How embarrasing.

Why does it always seem the little things are the cause of so much pain? :P
