Sorry for the lack of updates. A lot has been weighing on my mind for the past few weeks.

Work-Life balance. I didn't realize how much it takes to achieve it. Everywhere it seems there is a push to excel and reach financial security, but obviously, something has to take a step back in that pursuit - life. Hours are spent at the office, on a smartphone checking email/voice messages, in the hotel room accessing the corporate network, etc. It's almost as if there's an unspoken contest of who clocks in the earliest and stays in the latest.

A previous conversation with my coworker struck me. His family lives in Ethiopia; they enjoy visiting, but they would not consider moving here. They pity the people here, because most people probably won't even live long enough to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Yes, income is higher, but at what cost? His family lives comfortably and has a very close-knit community. Everyone watches each other's backs. I don't even know who my neighbors are...

What I want to know is, how does one balance it all?...Or at least come close...
