Nick and I have been assigned to teach the 6 year olds at church. This means we get to be first hand observers of the young ones' psyche.

And boy, are we in for a crazy ride.

Last Sunday, we were treated to this little tidbit:

(To preface, one of the other teachers was celebrating their birthday that day, so the kids were given a chance to grill the celebrant).

Question: How old are you today?

Teacher: I'm actually forty.... nine.

One of our students: Wow. You're old enough to die!

Now the challenge, how do you encourage participation, when you get totally unexpected comments like these. haha.
