"Always Hiding", a book by Sophia G. Romero, caught my eye a few days ago at the Northwest Reno library. Needless to say, I could hardly put it down once I started going through the pages. It describes conflicts Filipinos experience when they leave their motherland to find a new life in the US. It's amazing to read about the struggles and sacrifices that our kababayans go through to just to live here. They let go of their riches and/or glory in the Philippines to earn what some may call just measly dollars.

It reminds me of the movie "Milan", with Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto. I admire these people, these OFWs, TNTs, whatever their statuses are, for their unwavering strength, and unconditional love. They would give even their lives to give their families a better tomorrow. *sniff*... awww. thanks mom and dad.
