I literally finished page 759 of the book just a few minutes ago. I quit reading for an hour to get some dinner, but that was the only break I had since I started reading at around 5pm (I couldn't stay up for the midnight release, so I just stopped by Sam's Club in the morning to pick up a copy). side note: it was amusing to see almost every customer's cart at Sam's and the nearby Walmart with a copy of the book...

I just couldn't put it down. I wanted to know, how do they finally defeat the seemingly unbeatable? I felt both sad and worried though at the turn of events as each chapter went by, but I'm glad there's finally closure. And it's not even about who lives or dies... but mainly would there finally be a light at the end of the tunnel for all the trials the characters went through the past 6 books? Or would the suffering been in vain? I think there's definite maturing of the characters as they start to realize what's really important and stand by it...even after knowing full well the level of sacrifice it might take.

Great read overall. Worth the wait!

Hear hear! Rowling did not disappoint, I think just because it's the last, I like this one best.

It was well worth the wait. The characters really stepped up in this book. They have all grown so much! (especially Neville!) And we need a moment of silence for Hedwig... so sad. All, in all... such a good book!
