Seems it's still an all too common assumption that men are more technically-inclined than women.

Nick was on a call earlier with our ISP tech support, since all of a sudden our internet crapped out and won't recognize the 'authorized' MAC address. They couldn't figure out how it was working last week, then failed today. After a round of confusion, Nick gave up and passed the phone to me. The agent couldn't help but laugh. He said he's never had that happen before.

hrm. To each his or her own.

Spoofing the address was the final workaround... what I want to know, why do some ISPs need this level of control? :P
