There are certain cultural things that get on my nerves. One of them is colonial mentality, especially when it impacts my son.
What mother wants to hear that her son needs a pointier nose and longer legs so he looks 'better'? I dread the day when his brown hair turns black and his skin starts to tan for fear of more unsolicited advice on how I could 'fix' him.
