When news broke out of Oprah's deal of one free custom 8x11 photobook from Snapfish, the webs went crazy. It's such a great deal, I imagine LOTS of non-Oprah watchers (me included) took advantage.

I've heard about snapfish for a few years now, but since I went digital, I just never saw the need to print photos... so I never signed up. Funny how having a child changes that, because it seems grandparents love prints (my parents print off all his pictures from flickr).

So when I saw the offer, I knew it would be perfect as Christmas presents. (who knows, if it turns out well this year, it may just be a recurring present ha ha...) I just submitted my order a few minutes ago (they extended the offer as long as you signed up by last Friday), taking advantage of the Oprah offer and free shipping dealio they posted today.

The site was REALLY slow. And whatdya know, my free photobook credit didn't show up even though they promised it would (free shipping did though). Apparently I'm not alone. Getsatisfaction has quite a few pages of complaints and the Snapfish employees had to apply refunds. They finally did a catch-all post which basically says, we know what's going on, we'll fix it. Expect an automatic refund within 5 days.

I'm crossing my fingers. :)

LOL! I have used Snapfish many times. They do a decent job. But Shutterfly is the same quality as well. They do free offers too. I didn't even attempt Oprah's offer... hope it turns out! :)
