I've been attempting to describe pictures from books to Kayl a few days ago when I started to wonder, "when does it all make sense to him what I'm saying?" Or more importantly, "how is he interpreting it all?"
Seriously. Show any picture and the description changes based on context. A ball can be a ball (alphabet), one of two balls (numbers), a blue ball (colors), a big ball (sizes)... add to the chaotic mix that there's also baseballs, basketballs, footballs... which should not to be confused with the general 'ball shape' which could describe rice balls, tapioca balls, melon balls...
It's just one of those days when I see this amazing blank slate and I'm almost terrified on how I'll shape his perception and understanding of the world. :s
