We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night. It was amusing, fun, and weird. They picked really good actors to play the characters in the movie. I was surprised how accurate some of the portrayals were. But of course, they had to add the dramatic elements (childhood trauma theories) and the adult-only quips... The oompa loompa songs were very catchy, and I wouldn't be surprised if people got the tunes stuck in their heads the whole night (It certainly did for me, "Augustus Gloop! Augustus Gloop! The great big greedy nincompoop!). All in all, it was nice light movie to see on a late Friday night.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released publicly midnight last night. I didn't have the energy to attend any of the Potter parties; I had just planned to drop by Walmart sometime today because they usually have sufficient stock (and still with a cheaper price tag - $15) when the Potter books come out. I didn't have to actually go there though. Nick went and bought me a copy (hehehe...very cool of him since he doesn't like Harry Potter) at around 8:30 this morning. I didn't even think twice about waking up, and 5 hours later... I finished the book. YAY! It was cool! I won't spill much details, but you will get to know more about Voldemort's past, Harry/Ron/Hermione's love interests... very interesting indeed! :) Happy reading!
