Well, actually, it's more like-hate relationship. It's like a boyfriend you still have to see, because no one else is available. There is this other guy you'd want to consider, but moving with him will require new commitments, accessories, maybe even renovations on your home to suit his needs. mm.

We've been with our cable company since last year. Some days, they've wowed me with the rep's ability to be polite and helpful at the same time! Some days, I just want to scream, "Just leave me alone! We already have your biggest package, how much more do want to squeeze out of us?!"

We've been having problems since we had a digital box installed 6 months ago. Some of the premium channels don't go through. They've pinged the box, replaced the box, nothing. Finally yesterday I got sick of it.

Rep: We'll have someone come visit your home tomorrow (which is today) - the rep should come by sometime between 8 and 5. Don't leave your house at all during this time. And make sure you answer the phone, because if the rep calls he/she gets a answering machine, he'll check off your house as done, and you'll have to call us back to reschedule.

Me: Can he call my mobile instead?

R: Yes, but as I said before, if he calls and your voicemail picks up, he's moving to the next house on his service list.

Me: Is there a better slot than 8am to 5pm?

R: No. It's between 8 and 5 tomorrow.

Fast forward to today.

Cable guy: I know what's causing your problem. Your splitter.

Me: I just set up that splitter yesterday. We've had the problem long before I added that.

>> C then fixed the problem in the main cable line that feeds the rest of the apt.

C: Ok I'm done.

Me: So what caused the problem?

C: Your splitter. It's all done now. Just wait for the bill.

That's a bunch of ... ugh. The line was having issues; in fact, he spent most of his time fixing the main line. So annoying.

I really hope I don't get billed for this.
