avoid the crowds!

If you're one of those people who haven't gotten their Christmas shopping done yet, good luck. The past few days have been mass chaos, at practically any retail store. My workplace is only about 2 blocks from the mall so anybody crazy enough to actually drive during lunchtime is bound to be stuck in traffic - stuck with the shoppers and the folks out for lunch.

Another reason for the craziness: the second wave of 360s came out last weekend. We were on our way to Barnes and Noble at around 7:30 on Saturday night, and about 40 people had already lined up at Best Buy (BB is two stores down from BN). Some had the lawn chairs out, aerobeds, and one family even had a tent. Everyone was camping out! (Read some Best Buy/360 stories).

Monday night, we actually dared to go to the mall. The number of shoppers matched weekend traffic, so we hung out at EB Games for a while. We've only been inside a few minutes before someone laid a nasty fart. The stench just permeated(or as nick called it, consumed) the store forcing everyone to leave. LOL. I almost felt bad for the people waiting in line to pay for their items, and especially the sales clerks. They had to bear it!

Just another reason to shop online. :)
