A severe typhoon has been raging in the Philippines for the past couple of days. From this CNN article, "The latest typhoon is the third major storm to strike the region in the past two weeks and is expected to be packing winds gusting up to 268 kilometers per hour (165 mph) and generate 10-meter high coastal waves."
My grandpa's hometown has been hit (184 kph winds), but only one casualty was reported. (I bet he's a distant relative too. Everywhere I went on that island, everyone seemed to have our last name...)
Please pray for those people still missing (177) as well as those still stranded in the hardest-hit areas... For those 400 killed, I hope their pain didn't last long.
I hope my sister will be safe...
On another note, my high school is crumbling to pieces. It's not the first time when the employees and the parents were in conflict or have practically killed each other... But it is disappointing to see how low my school has sunk since my class graduated there four years ago.
Know what though? It could've already been brewing then, but we were (or I was) too young and immature to realize it. *sigh*...
