(DLR = Disneyland Resort)
Why not? Because it is insanely packed.
We hung out at the Disney resort for the 4th of July weekend. Oh my goodness, Disneyland was crazy busy. Granted, it's not the worst crowd we've seen (imagine being there on New Year's Eve - yeah, it's not a great visit if you want to go on any rides or even just move around the park).
California Adventure, as usual, was pretty empty, which did surprise us some since they did just put in Toy Story Mania there.

After a 37 minute wait, we were able to get on. It was actually a fun ride. It's like Frontierland arcade meets Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in 3D. The only downside was they don't let you sit with a kid on your lap, so we had to squeeze the baby between us and hold him steady while the ride spins to the next level. Definitely don't recommend families with a newborn to go on this one!
We didn't even get to see the fireworks show that night. After we saw the line to get back into the park and all the people who decided to camp out in the plaza, we decided to head back to our hotel. Besides, we didn't want to push our luck any further since we were already past Kayl's bedtime.

Oh well.
