"oh look at that deal!"

Have you ever gone into a store with a desire to purchase a single specific item, then coming out with something else, instead of, or in addition to what you wanted to buy initially?

Yep, got sucked into the marketing trap again. hehe.

We went to Walmart tonight to just buy some eggs. We came out with a dvd player (with built-in filtering, woo-hoo!), shampoo, and gel insoles. We didn't even buy the eggs. :P

Nick said that the dvd player would be my birthday present. Uh-huh. Like he didn't want it too. He even bought me my present already, a full-length mirror - I'm too short for our bathroom mirror.

Eh. It's all good.

Well, we started my birthday tonight, because Nick will be gone (to work) most of tomorrow (10a-10p shift!). We had "dinner" at Wienerschnitzel. Then we got frozen yogurt at TCBY. Nothing fancy. We're not too comfortable with the serious atmosphere of most swanky restaurants.

We'll save the downtown thrills for tomorrow night.
