We watched Spiderman 2 yesterday. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. I didn't even realize my nachos were gone, 30 minutes into the movie. I've never read the comic books, so I was oblivious about the characters and the possible outcome of the movie. I thought it was a good balance between a chick flick and, well, a guy flick. :) Nick's going to buy the DVD when it comes out. I guess the cutesey love story didn't bother him much.
I've heard from some people though that they could have chosen a better actress for MJ. Eh. Personally, I don't mind her too much.
I didn't know that there was some controversy about casting Tobey Maguire again as Peter Parker. From this CNN article, "...the actor nearly lost his Spidey suit to someone else in March 2003 because he told the producers he had a bad back." They were going to replace him with Jake Gyllenhaal (Day After Tomorrow), which coincidentally is also Kirsten Dunst's bf. Nick said it would have worked, because he looks geeky as well. hehe.

Well I can see it working--- they both have the same sounding voice.
I don’t know what it is about their voices, but to me it sounds like they’re retarded or something. Actually retarded wouldn't be the word, but I can't think of anything else ><
